About Us
Pointing German Shorthaired Printer
Kate

Pathfinder is a family owned, North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association (NAVHDA) registered, kennel offering American Kennel Club (AKC)  German Shorthaired Pointer pups and, on occasion, started and finished hunters. Our companions are bred for temperament and hunting prowess. Sires and dams are proven mid-range hunters who live as part of the family. All are AKC registered. Our bloodlines include 1 Amature Field Champion (AFC), 5 Field Champions (FC), 7 with FC and AF Championships and 1 National Field Champion and FC among their pedigrees. Our family members are natural hunters who are loving, willing to please, intelligent and easy to train.

We started Pathfinder Kennel in the fall of 2001, in response to the the need for quality hunting dogs in the area. Now, word of our dogs has spread quickly and we breed to meet demand. With deliberate breeding, we are building upon our humble beginnings. We do not breed inline and each dam has only one litter per year. Although we have a variety of coloring, we breed for hunting. We expect our pups to be natural hunters, like their sires and dams. So, if a quality hunting dog is what you seek, Pathfinder Kennel may be your answer.

Pathfinder Kennel is located in Southeast North Dakota, 50 miles southwest of Fargo, where a good pointer is worth their weight in gold. Most of the ringneck pheasants in the area stick tight or run like a race horse. It takes a pointer to locate and retrieve these elusive birds, who live in the vast cover of slough rushes and conservation reserve program (CRP) fields.
